Review of The Secret Life of Walter Mitty (1947) by Terri H — 12 Oct 2008
Walter Mitty is a man who constantly escapes the confines of his boring life through day dreams. His world is suddenly turned upside down when he meets a mysterious woman who inadvertently draws him into a conspiracy of murder and hidden jewels.
This might just be my favorite Danny Kaye film. The day dream sequences are Kaye at his comedic best and the dramatic scenes highlight his vulnerability and skill as an actor. There's an innocence and charm about this movie that makes it an enduring, timeless classic.
