"A Secret Life of Pets" is working only when it plays as a study in animal behaviour. It has many amazing scenes based on that factor and it can get really entertaining. Plot wise it's weak but it's funny and a good fun at the movies.
It lacks in storytelling but it deals with modern realities about pets and their lives in big cities. It's a fun little movie, quite forgettable but still good.
