Review of The Secret Life of Bees (2008) by Mark P — 03 Jul 2009
I greatly enjoyed this film, and thought the film was both well-cast and well-acted. The movie follows the book closely enough that if you loved the book, you won't hate the movie, and Dakota Fanning is impressive as the girl who has to fight to find the truth, and to find love.
She says more with one flicker of her eyelid than you can imagine. I highly recommend it if you want a tear-jerker. A-.
