Review of The Secret Life of Bees (2008) by Teia O — 10 Feb 2010

I usually don't watch movies like this but I watched it because of the group of women who played the characters. The story is set in the racial setting back then when black people were considered as less, this movie reminded me that it wasn't too long ago that African Americans had no rights.

Anyway, Queen Latifah , Alicia and Jennifer did great. Sophie played the heck out of her role and Dakota showed a glimpse of what a great actress she is going to evolve into. The ending broke my heart but I guess not all movies have a happy ending. Just be prepared to cry because I know I did...
