This has always been one of my favorite family/children?s movies. It was a part of the curriculum when I was in elementary school, and even though it was school ?work? I really enjoyed it. It might be almost 15 years since I last saw it, and it was as good as I remembered it to be.
It?s so tender and sweet! The story is beautiful, and it even looks beautiful. The children do a great job with portraying these kids, and the girl is very convincing as a spoiled brat. Now that I know there?s both a book, and other movie adaptations of the book, I will try to get a hold of those as well.
