While the visuals of India are dazzling, and the "actor royalty" sometimes fun to watch, the story line is seriously like watching paint dry. It's basically two hours of my life I'll never get back! I loved the first one.

It was fast-paced and charming. This second one assumes that audiences, after several years, still know or care about these characters' stories and internal monologues. It picks up right where it left off without ever really re-acquainting the audience with who these people are and why they are there.

Add a very awkward Richard Gere presence and it left me thoroughly confused and not caring during the first fifteen minutes... until the opening credits appeared! It was downhill from there.
