Review of The Searchers (1956) by Matt D — 15 Jan 2014
In my humble opinion this the greatest work that either John Wayne or John Ford touched. In fact, it might just be the greatest Western period.
Dark undertones, vivid characters, a knockout performance from Wayne, and some of the most glorious vistas ever put on film make this extremely hard to beat. Without a doubt one of the greats.
