Review of The Sea of Trees (2016) by Nancy L — 05 Feb 2017
I'm a pretty discerning film watcher, and I don't get all the low ratings for this movie. While not exactly Oscar material, I thought this story was very moving and didn't get bogged down, sappy or overly sentimental. And the beautiful "sea of trees" was most meaningful as a transition to the afterlife or where lessons for the living may be found. Strong performances by cast.
