Review of The Sea Is Watching (2002) by Zak G — 05 Sep 2004
THE SEA IS WATCHING was another pick from my girlfriend. She loves foreign films, as does I, and she figured we'd both like this one. Hell, I figured I'd like it after seeing that it was written by Akira Kurosawa. What did I like? Well, the cinematography and a couple of the performances. What didn't I like? Everything else. The film gets pretty fucking tedious at times, and it resembles a Japanese soap opera in its worst moments. Otherwise, it's an OK film, nothing more, nothing less.
Are you listening to Massive Attack yet, fuckers? If you're not, then I wish I would be given license to shoot you with a musical efficiency dart. That way, you'd start listening to the right music, instead of listening to garbage like Usher, you folks living in America.
Listen boitches!!!!!!!
