Review of The Sea Inside (2004) by Eric O — 22 Mar 2009
Powerful moving film. Addresses the issue of euthanasia directly and raises tough questions with no easy answer. Each side has good points, but we can't truly know what it's like to live like a quadriplegic.
I still don't know how I feel regarding it. Bardem is amazing, creating a memorable character who is unwavering despite his own family being against his decision. All the other characters are good as well.
The cinematography is great, especially during the fantasy scenes. An unforgettable film.
