Review of The Sea Inside (2004) by Kashtan H — 08 May 2008
Heard of the rave reviews for so long, and now I get to watch this beautiful movie. Okay, not that I haven't seen movies with such stories before, but the treatment was beautiful. Every scene has been made with special care, and it shows.
The breathtaking 2:30 minute scene of flying over the hills is just brilliant. Belen Rueda is as usual beautiful, graceful & brilliant - all packed in one dynamite package. But of course, the movie belongs to Bardem all the way.
Being the paralysed guy, he's just lying down there all the time with no movement - but still what confidence in his voice, in his dialogs, in those eyes. A masterpiece he is!
