Review of The Sea Inside (2004) by Susan G — 01 Sep 2008
This lyrical and profound film about a Gallego paraplegic who wants to end his life builds slowly and quietly in intensity until suddenly you find yourself bawling like a baby at the unbearable sadness and beauty of it all.
Javier Bardem gives another incredible performance, and is surrounded by a superb supporting cast. Director Amenabar and the film deserve all the awards they won, and more.
