Review of The Sea Inside (2004) by Juha L — 13 Jul 2009
Really nice. Alejandro Amenabar is one of the most interesting filmmakers today and this is one great movie. The story based on real life is just wonderful and it really makes you think about death and also about life.
The direction, the writing, the visuals, the music and the brilliant performances make this one truly a great and important movie about an important subject and it's done with style and grace. In Hollywood this would have been a preachy and sobby tearjerker about a man who want's to die.
Thank God Amenabar has something that Hollywoods seems to not have much these days. It's called talent. Wonderful.
