Review of The Sea Inside (2004) by Box C — 19 Mar 2010
Pedro Almodóvar does it again! "The Sea Inside" keeps you watching minute by minute as Ramón Sampedro struggles to get a civil right that everyone else has, right up until the excruciatingly hard to watch yet I can't look away finale.
Javier Bardem plays Sampedro as a quadriplegic struggling to end his life humanely but needs help, but the law won't allow "murder." You feel so much for this man, yet at the same time detest how he talks and sometimes treats other people.
The supporting cast is just as good as Bardem. You will not be disappointed with this film, just watch it knowing the subject matter is of an intense nature.
