Review of The Sea Inside (2004) by Sreekanth M — 07 Jan 2011
This film will have an outstanding poignancy for me. I watchedon the plane to visit my sick mother in Spain, I didn't get to end as we landed, but clearly understood his dire need to end it. Having sat with my mother, given only days, but going for much longer, it seemed cruel not to do something other than just wait.
I watched it's conclusion on the way back and think it is impossible for a famliy member or even a doctor to end a life so deliberately, but for him to take his own life, was beautiful to see his final torment over.
Amazing flm and Javier is fast becoming my favourite actor. RIP mum xx.
