This film is based on the true story of Ramon Samperdo who fought for the last 30 years of his life for his right to euthanasia.Amenabar shows many sides and opinions around the subject of euthanasia leaving each viewer to decide finaly the corectness of the hero's choice.
Javier Bardem is shocking in a difficult and demanding role where the only means of expressions that he has is his voice and his face.
