Review of The Screaming Skull (1958) by Christopher M — 09 May 2009
This film deserves one star for at least attempting to be a decent movie. The premise of the husband trying to gain his wife's fortune by driving her insane had potential, but they couldn't quite fulfill that potential.
The acting, though not horrible, was enough to make me shake my head... but I doubt anyone could act properly when confronted by a plastic skeleton in a dress and big floppy hat... or wrestling with a plastic skull in a pond as if it was a vicious gator.
But you could tell they tried. Too bad they simply couldn't overcome the limitations of the era.
