Review of The Screaming Skull (1958) by Jean-Francois V — 18 May 2009
This film mainly suffered from very slow pacing, a cliched plot, and the climax, though having potential to be scary, was instead laughable (reminiscent of the scene in Ed Wood when Bela Lugosi wrestles with a half-inflated octopus in shallow water).
One of the best parts about this movie, however, is the unique promo, warning that the film is so scary that it might kill you. Though, honestly, you're more apt to die from boredom than fright.
