Review of The Scorpion King (2002) by Christopher S — 04 Nov 2010
While a good action film, this was so historically wrong it was comical at times. This was like the Rock's version of Conan the Barbarian, except the part of Grace Jones was played by Michael Clarke Duncan.
Kelly Hu was gorgeous as always but she is not getting an Academy Award nomination anytime soon. The Rock definitely showed potential for a film career with his role as Mathayus, parlaying this film into other roles and distancing himself away from WWE.
Quick paced film and definitely worth seeing if you love the Rock.
