Robert E. Howard would have wished he'd written "The Scorpion KIng". From the action-packed opening sequence to the Harlequin Romance moment of triumph, this movie has got every thing a Sword and Sandal actioner should.
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is poised and assured with dialogue as well as with weaponry. The fight scenes are superbly choreographed and edited, the pacing perfect. The use of familiar Southern California locations and classic epic movie sets adds a sense of fun Hollywood cheese.
