Review of The Science of Sleep (2006) by Ed Fucking H — 10 Aug 2010
A visually stunning and surreal adventure into one mans subconcious. As it true of dreams, the viewers of this film must let go and not pull their hair out trying to figure out what everything in this movie "means.
" The viewer is forced to indiscrimately accept everything on the screen and just kinda "go with the flow." That being said while this is a very unique and enjoyable ride, I don't know how often I will feel the need to embark on this journey again.
Still though, a very well done film and at times melancholic trip. Gael Garcia Bernal and Charlotte Gainsbourg both deliver great performances and I think I would recommend this to fans of the bizarre.
