Review of The Science of Sleep (2006) by Myles H — 21 Feb 2009
A brilliantly imaginative and visually inventive exploration of dreams and relationships that only occasionally feels rather self-aware of its own quirkiness. Gael Garcia Bernal gives a winning and believable performance as an outsider who confuses being asleep and awake, and Charlotte Gainsbourg matches him beat for beat by playing a girl who's just like him yet completely opposite at the same time.
