Review of The Science of Sleep (2006) by Name N — 29 Dec 2009
There are two worlds in the movie: a world which is conceivable by other characters; and another world which is not. The latter is essentially the combination of love, friendships, relationships and all those "ships" in Stephane's dream in which everything is aesthetic, craft-like and more refined than the real-world objects.
In between monotonous calendar design work and meeting with an imaginative neighbour, the boundary between the two worlds started to get blurred and even more blurred. Eventually the two worlds clashed and merged into one fascinating distorted reality.
And one's left to wonder how much more his/her brain can do subconsciously!
