Review of The Science of Sleep (2006) by Ben M — 03 Jul 2010
With familiar dreams and love situations (the latter taken to the extreme with a mentally off-kilter protaganist), this is a movie that keeps you on your toes with creativity and self-induced struggle.
The only issue is that The Science of Sleep struggles a bit too hard and towards the end grows wearisome and unrelateable as Stephan's actions become more extreme. A film that shows every bit of a love story through the subconscious and the awake, the honesty is fantastic and makes for a wonderful movie.
