Review of The Science of Sleep (2006) by Ifiok O — 31 Dec 2010
There's a great deal of imagination that went into this particular Michel Gondry film, and it succeeds from a stylistic perspective. There are some questionable issues with the characterization, and some scenes do feel confusing at times, especially towards the end.
But there's plenty of charm from the characters, and the subject of dreaming is always a interesting theme. Overall, while it does not necessarily surpass "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind", "The Science of Sleep" is a very good movie about the impact dreams have upon us.
