Review of The Science of Sleep (2006) by Steve H — 16 Jan 2011
Madness from the beginning, the middle and to the end! A delightful mad-capped ride from the inside of a crazy persons head. If you analyse this film from a serious point of view you're wasting your time, watch with a care free demeanour and you will enjoy this tale of utter absurdity. The dream sequences are a work of brilliance the performance from Gael Garcia Bernal probably would have won an oscar if the oscars didn't take themselves so frustratingly serious and took humour and light heartedness as a positive in film making.
This is definitely a film worth spending your time on a step out of the normality and the painfully, dull, obvious trends of current film productions.
Beautifully insane and heartwarmingly funny.
