This is way better than Amelie or even Happy-Go-Lucky. It's imaginative, creative, sweet, adventurous, magical, full of wonders. The multilingual aspect of the movie was also one of its charm for me.
The storyline was unique, and I felt connected to the whole idea of the blurry line between dream and reality when you have a wild imagination and the normal every-day life bores you out of your mind.
And also, Bernal was incredible.
