This is not a romantic comedy where two basically well-adjusted people overcome some situational obstacle to come together for a happily ever after. No, not all.
Hard to figure what the fuck went wrong with the relationship, why it never gelled the way it could have....it's painful to watch, especially if you've had an awkward crush/friendship with someone and it just doesn't go where it could have, if only there was a little more faith on one or both of parties' part.
Definitely see this if you liked Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Another galaxy in the Gondry universe.
