Review of The School of Rock (2003) by Ryan P — 20 Feb 2013
''Dude, I service society by rocking, OK? I'm out there on the front lines liberating people with my music!'' - Dewey Finn.
Basically sums up what the whole film is about: a tribute to Rock music, demonstrating how it can make people break out from a system of conformation. A good performance by Jack Black in the lead. He rocks. Goofy plot, but harmless fun. The weakest work I've seen from Richard Linklater, though.
