Review of The School of Rock (2003) by Priya P — 31 Mar 2013
"School of Rock" is the most original, joyous, and well-acted comedies I've ever seen. Jack Black and the child actors absolutely nailed their parts which made this movie a perfect comedy.
It covered all parts of the spectrum: it was heartfelt, hilarious, understanding, and personal. Even after 10 years, the humor still holds to be valid and can make anyone laugh -- from children, to adults.
This movie remains to be Jack Black's best performance even as the years have gone by. Hats off to Mike White and Linklater -- this movie to a testament to how well they work together.
