Review of The School of Rock (2003) by James W — 16 Jan 2014
Only the most miserable of people won't have a rockin' good time with School of Rock. Jack Black gives his best performance as a slacker called Dewey, who is close to being kicked out of his mate's flat unless he can pay the rent.
One day he takes a call meant for his substitute teacher flatmate Theo, but desperate to earn the money Dewey takes a teaching job and ends up teaching a class of young school students, most of them unfamiliar with the Rock music world.
Dewey makes it his mission to teach them how to rock and eventually enter them into a Rock competition that gives the winner a hefty cash prize. This awesome story delivers a whole load of laughter, all the young actors are just as funny as the adult actors, no matter how old you are this is guaranteed good fun for everybody, and by the ending you'll be standing up cheering probably because you've had a bloody good time.
