Excellent slice-of life-film. And parts of it were filmed here in Buffalo! If you want to know what Buffalo is like in the winter, check out the scene where Phillip Seymour Hoffman is standing in the street calling Laura Linney to tell her he found a place for their dad.
That's Buffalo - grey, wet, snowing, cold.
