Review of The Savages (2007) by Gail K — 09 Feb 2009
This movie was raw. The opening seen is truly reality. The portrayal of what happens when a loved one suffers dementia or their quality of life lessens was poignant. Linney and Hoffman's did a wonderful job bringing to the screen the enormity of emotions and the weight of it all.
However great I thought this subject matter was I fell asleep multiple times watching it. It took me three separate start ups to watch the movie in its entirety.
