Review of The Savages (2007) by Jerry Y — 04 Jun 2009
Having gone through a very similar situation, this was not an easy movie to watch. But that's a testament to the film's authenticity. I don't believe it hits a single false note. Don't expect a ton of dramatic heft or plot twists, this movie realistically captures a very difficult period in life without milking it for extra emotional effect.
The reality is devastating enough.
