The Savages features an all-star cast, and brilliantly treads the line between comedy and tragedy. The actors are all fantastic, but the script occasionally drags out certain scenes, and at points you have to work to keep your attention on the movie.

But when it fires on all cylinders, The Savages leaves a lasting impact, especially if you think about your midlife crisis.
