Review of The Savages (2007) by The Snaggle Formally Known As Dylan — 15 Dec 2008
The kind of uncompromising look at aging that makes you want to flick through some Dignitas brochures. Vaguely European in tone (in that not much happens), it's the type of film I would normally expect to be watching in Danish while reading subtitles.
Fine performances all round, particularly from Hoffman who conveys so much with so little, though ultimately you may wonder if the title promises more bite than the film delivers.
