Review of The Savages (2007) by Jeff D — 20 Jan 2009
Like "Lovely and Amazing" or "Rachel Getting Married," this one struck me as being very true to the ways family members can be casually mean to each other. There wasn't a ton of expository backstory for the leads, but Hoffman's and Linney's performances filled all that in beautifully.
