The dialogue in this movie is amazing, especially considering the subject matter. I don't even know Tamara Jenkins or her story but in order to write this kind of movie in the quality she does you would've had to live through something like this.
Phil Hoffman is amazing and Laura Linney is just as good. I thought some threads of the story should've been shorter or cut all together but this is still a great movie with amazing performances by Hoffman and Linney.
