Review of The Sasquatch Gang (2006) by Dave W — 23 Aug 2008
This is an original comedy for anyone who has enjoyed 'Juno', 'Napoleon Dynamite' and any of Wes Anderson's films (which include Rushmore, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, The Royal Tenenbaums and The Darjeeling Limited etc).
Despite the oddness of its poster and the plot of the film, this is not just moronic comedy aimed at the American Pie crowds. Part of the appeal is getting great performances out of the cast of kids that portray the 'nerds' - these are people we either were or at least knew!
This is a quirky comedy that, given the chance, should prove to be surprisingly entertaining.
