Review of The Sasquatch Gang (2006) by Cameron C — 30 Jun 2009
The Sasquatch Gang...um...ok...I'll try to explain. It was a box office bomb that is about fake sasquatch crap that these four teens find and think it is actually sasquatch crap so a sasquatch scientist or something has to approve whether it actually is sasquatch crap or not because if it is then those four teens will be "heroes".
It was weird, sometimes gross and the characters were some of the most odd characters ever in film. AND I LOVED IT! It was the most original thing since "Borat". Writer Jared Hess wrote this film and you can always tell he wrote it because it just has that "Napoleon Dynamite" feel to it.
Quotable characters, interesting situations and also a good story. Now...before you think you should go to the video store and buy every copy on the shelf...let me lay down some OTHER things about this film.
While I really enjoyed this film, some things bothered me. Two characters played by Justin Long and Joey Kern (a guy who never wears a shirt) I think thats his name...anyway, they are the best characters in the whole entire movie.
The other weird four teens who found the fake crap were so nerdy and annoying you kinda felt embarrassed. They were also more-then-averagely boring. When they came on screen I was like " Where are the other two guys?".
Justin Long and Jeremy Sumpter saved the whole movie. If it wasn't for them it would be a 4/10. But...this is a 7/10 or a 4/5. Definitly rent it.
