Review of The Sapphires (2012) by Jerome B — 06 Aug 2013
While some of the plot is contrived and tweaked, the story itself, rooted in fact is worthy of attention. The mistreatment of Aborigines by the white Australian polulace is shameful, but this is ultimately a story of hope and drive and push to succeed in the most dangerous of environments (Vietnam).
Performances are top notch. The music is terrific. This is a film worthy of your attention. Here here!
