Review of The Sapphires (2012) by Kurtiss K — 26 Aug 2013
Interesting story of an Aboriginal girl group in the 1960's...how they came together and where they went...the discrimination they faced, and their experiences working for soldiers during the Vietnam War.
Unfortunately, the movie isn't as interesting as the story. The performances are fine, but the movie is just missing something. Wholly predictable and really lacking some heart. Should have been a big winner.
..turns out not to be for me.
