Review of The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause (2006) by Andrew G — 10 Dec 2009
By all means this is certainly not a good film, but I'm going to be honest and say that as a festive film for Christmas, it did the job and was fairly entertaining for me. The story and jokes are stock and predictable, but some of the jokes such as the "I invented Chill" did leave me giggling.
Martin Short is natural and has much fun in his role as Jack Frost, and that fun does transcend onto the audience. As much as I dislike Spencer Breslin, I will admit that he does do a decent job in his role in this film.
The Christmas feel is old and tired, but it still makes you feel a tad festive. The Santa Clause 3 is one of those bad films that you can consider a guilty pleasure, but there's no reason to see it outside of it being Christmas, but even then there are more festive and entertaining films for the season.
