Review of The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause (2006) by Dann M — 24 Dec 2013
The Santa Clause goes all "It's a Wonderful Life" in its third installment, The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause. Jack Frost, envious of Santa Claus's popularity, tricks Scott Calvin into wishing that he'd never become Santa; giving him a taste of what the world would have been like had he not put on the red suit.
The story is just awful; it's lazy, contrived, and flat out ridiculous. And the bland performances from Tim Allen, Martin Short and Elizabeth Mitchell don't help matters. The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause is an uninspired piece of trite that just recycles material from other, better films.
