Review of The Santa Clause 2 (2002) by Scott E — 19 Dec 2009
Perhaps they should've just stopped with the first Santa Clause movie, because the first one was really so great. A classic holiday film. But these next two are severely lacking. I will say that this second installment was a whole lot better than the third.
I liked that David Krumoholtz was still in it, though I wish his role would've been larger like it was in the first movie. And please, less of Spencer Breslin. His elf character just downright sucks, in my opinion.
I could've definitely done without him. Elizabeth Mitchell is a nice addition to the Santa Clause story, I will say. There were a few cute and sweet moments in this movie, it just didn't have that special something that the first on had.
