Review of The Santa Clause (1994) by Eric C — 29 Nov 2009
Great family film; as you will notice I will be reviewing a lot of Christmas Theme movies, because its that time and I would like to be able to recommend some holiday fun flicks.
This is on my top 10 list for Christmas movies to see or see again.
Tim Allen, most known as Tim Taylor on Home Improvement, continues to deliver the laughs as an somewhat absentee father, who must take on the responsibility of Santa Claus. Allen has some good acting chops, however my one problem with his performance in all of his films is the fact that they are virtually the same. I don't know if its his acting or the roles he's taken on. Still its a lot of fun to watch.
Eric Loyd plays his son Charlie, the reason in which he puts a Santa Claus outfit on to cheer his son up. Charlie is adorable, like in most kid Christmas films and helps to move the story along.
Judge Reinhold is hilarious as Charlie's stepfather Neil, a psychiatrist, who believes Scott to be crazy and that Charlie is effected by it.
John Pasquin is responsible for directing this film and he does a great job, not sure of any other films he's done, but here he gets an A.
4 out of 5 stars.
