Review of The Sandlot (1993) by Jodie B — 06 Jul 2009
Ok, so for what it is, I adore this movie. It's sweet, innocent, funny and downright all-American. I love all the characters in it, especially "Smalls", "Benny" and "Ham." The bond that all these boys have is great to watch and I love how it was such a much simpler time back then and that their sole form of entertainment was simply playing baseball, day after day.
The scene where they're all sick at the carnival is gross, but too funny, as is the scene at the pool where "Squints" pulls his little stunt. :) I also love the 4th of July scene where they're all playing baseball under the fireworks-it's just a special moment.
A very cute movie that, I think, people of all ages can enjoy. Always just leaves you feeling good afterwards.
