Review of The Sand Pebbles (1966) by Jonathan B — 11 May 2008
This is truly a masterpiece. without a doubt Steve McQueen`s best role. Richard Crenna is great as the proud captain, and the whole story and outcome is just great. it runs for 177min (not 149min like it says on flixster), but the time flew by like I was having the time of my life.
I terms of war movies in general, this is one of the best iv`e seen.
