While packed with talented actors, The Samaritan seems more like a badly written copy of Park's Oldboy. The bitter and slow moving plot brings you to a conclusion that's just too weird to be rewarding.
Samuel L. Jackson gives a great and expert performance, but unfortunately it's not enough to make this film as great as it could've been.
