Review of The Salvation (2014) by John Eric D — 02 Jun 2015
One of the most dark toned westerns I've seen in a long time. The first half of it is one of the most disturbing scenes in a film. I would never thought, this would be any good as any of the westerns I've seen, yet it has a very memorable story telling.
A story of pain and sweet revenge. Mads Mikkelsen's performance is very impressive as well as the other cast such as Eva Green, and Jean Dean Morgan. They are all fantastic. The pacing is slow (as I remember) but I definitely enjoyed it! I was never got tired of watching nor I was bored of it.
Great execution, awesome acting, amazing cinematography and definitely one of the best Western drama films out there. A must watch western flick. 4 stars out of 5.
